In 2006 I went to college and chose the Communication and Multimedia Design field of study. It’s been 4 years now, and I’m approaching the end of my study. I am about to graduate in September 2010, and this portfolio is part of my academic trajectory. In this entry I will reflect about the past 4 years, and indicate how my personal learning process made me the media designer I am today.
Communication & Multimedia Design is a study that mainly focuses on social needs that can be fulfilled with new media. Thanks to my education, I can rely on many insights including art, technology, media and business aiding me to create valuable projects.
During my academic career I have made an evolution in the field of creating media, in every meaning of the word. Albeit the first 1,5 year being introductory (and sometimes rather redundant), things started to get serious when ending up on the international path. The first glimpse of international education started at Maastricht, where the interfaculty courses are being held, and we attend the chosen courses together with German and Dutch students. After that first interfaculty experience, I decided to go abroad, and thus ended up in Tampere, Finland. I have spent the autumn semester abroad, after which I had to return to start my internship.
In this section, I will reveal more details about the highlights and milestones of my education. Happy reading.
